Food-service Infrared Thermometer with 8 dot Laser Pointer 

The RayTemp 3 Infrared Thermometer is ideal for use in the food industry. It is compact, lightweight and easy to use. Simply aim and pull the trigger to display the temperature of the item being measured. In addition the LCD will display the maximum temperature.

 

It measures temperature over the range of -60 to 500°C with an assured accuracy of ±1°C over the critical food range of 0 to 65°C. It has an auto power off facility that turns the instrument off after 15 seconds, maximising battery life. The RayTemp® 3 is ideal for measuring food surface temperatures, eliminating the need to touch or contaminate the food you are measuring. The unit can be used by anyone as there is no need to focus or adjust the instrument.

 

An 8 dot circle laser indicator allows you to precisely target the diameter of the area to be measured. The unit incorporates a 12:1 optic ratio and a fixed emissivity of 0.97 making it more suitable for chilled and frozen foods, although this thermometer can be used for a wide range of other applications.

The Thermal Disinfection Indicator from TMC Hallcrest will record, permanently, the highest bracketed temperature reached by the label. It is ideal for testing the temperature reached during a dishwasher cycle. They are non toxic, and consist of a white crystalline solid on a black absorbent backing, adhered with acrylic adhesive. The label have a shelf life exceeding 12 months.


These economical and easy to use labels are supplied in packs of 100 or reels of 1000.

Measures Free Fatty Acids (FFA) in frying oil
These easy to use strips test the percentage of Free Fatty Acids in frying oil.
All four blue bands of the strip are dipped into the hot shortening. The results are available in a matter of 5 seconds.
 
The number of bands that turn from blue to green and then to yellow indicates the level of free fatty acids in the oil.
 
Each blue band changing colour indicates a level of 2%, 3.5%, 5.5% & 7% FFA respectively. 
This test offers an objective method to establish when cooking oil must be changed, reducing the cost of cooking oil safely.
